We started 2020 off with a busy and fantastic summer, and as the team prepared for school trips & our first holiday session of Back2Bush Basics, this quickly changed overnight as we all went into a nation wide lockdown. This didn’t stop the amazing effort from our team who lived on the property, as they got to work on improving and grooming the tracks. We opened back in May in unfamiliar territory as we had to limit our visitor numbers, but the team worked hard to ensure everyone was safe, while still having an awesome time. We took another hit in July with the unruly weather and flooding, with some of the tracks suffering slips and being too unsafe to open for riding, resulting in us making the decision to close for 2 weeks.
However, this didn’t stop us from making 2020 a hugely successful year; we had our shuttles branded with our awesome stand out logos, we won the Northland Regional Council Environmental Business Excellence Award for a 2nd year in a row, we had a hugely successful FRIGHT NIGHT (and trust us when we say the staff were the most upset about cancelling the 2nd night ☹️). We celebrated our 3rd year anniversary, we renovated our cafe and erected a new roof to it and cool drop down sides, we got coffee reward cards up and running, new roadside flags, LOTS of new helmets, and increased our paintball games to be able to accommodate up to 40 players at a time. We said goodbye to some of our amazing team as they went on to new adventures & welcomed along new staff. We have had a super busy summer so far, filled with staff do’s, stag do’s, birthdays and social events. The team are looking forward to what’s to come in 2021 & hope to see you visiting us up the hill 🤩🛴😊
Wishing everyone a happy New Years & safe travels. We open back up on the 4th of Jan, and will be open 7 days a week from 10am onwards. Check out some awesome snaps taken during 2020!!!
